The old barn shed stands nearly crumbled.
Barely showing signs of the life it once had.
Today, critters are its main occupants,
but the barn shed once stored the life lines to others.
In its days of fervor, the barn shed was to farmers
what the plow was to farm hands. Now, struggling to stand
on its last legs with its bones, and structure, partly decayed-
it clings to dear life.
The red roof, now tarnished with rust, burst out it seams.
Looking like it’s in need of a segment from This Old House or Fixer Upper,
reminiscent of times passed, the fond memories of the old barn shed
stay dear to the heart and forever young.
